Job Summary

BioSqueeze, Inc. is looking for a highly motivated mechanical technician to support its engineering team with equipment builds for the R&D lab and prototyping shop.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Fabricate/assemble/build custom engineered equipment to support Research and Development activities.
  • Support the maintenance and operation of the company’s custom and off-the-shelf equipment.
  • Support engineering field equipment builds.
  • Perform non-routine tasks which may include, but are not limited to:
    • Run experiments under the direction of an engineer or researcher.
    • Prepare equipment for field operations.
    • Support field trials of new technologies.
    • Retrieve items from local or potentially long-distance suppliers.
    • Support equipment fabricators and builders in the assembly of new equipment.
    • Perform routine maintenance on company owned equipment.
    • Support field operations when short-handed.
    • Cleaning and preparing bioreactors for experiments and production tests.
  • Keep the R&D shop clean and in order.

Qualifications & Skills

  • High School Diploma
  • 4+ years of experience working in a job such as a production technician, automotive technician, mechanic, service or repair technician, fabricator, or similar.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Mechanically oriented (Electrically savvy a plus).
  • Basic ability to read shop drawings, bills of materials, and engineering sketches.
  • Comfortable using hand tools and power tools.
  • Must have a clean driving record and pass a background check.
  • Ability to work in a drug-free environment (our customers require us to have a random drug testing policy which you must be able to pass … includes THC and alcohol).
