Environmental
BioSqueeze is developing biomineralization applications for seepage control, groundwater containment, aquifer protection and environmental remediation.
The placement problem
Conventional grouting, excavation and mechanical barriers remain essential. They become more difficult when the flow path is narrow, distributed, geologically complex or located beneath operating infrastructure.
BioSqueeze fluids move through pores and fractures at approximately the viscosity of water. The treatment is designed to follow connected pathways before controlled mineral formation reduces permeability in place.
Priority applications
Each application begins with the same question: can the treatment reach the connected pathway and form a verifiable mineral barrier?
Create targeted mineral barriers within connected seepage pathways to supplement conventional cutoff, grouting and repair systems.
Intercept or isolate subsurface flow around impacted sites using mineralized barriers formed in soil and permeable geologic material.
Reduce unwanted vertical or lateral flow through connected formations, abandoned pathways or compromised subsurface barriers.
Seal connected defects and reinforce cementitious systems where leakage, cracking and groundwater exposure threaten buried or difficult-to-access assets.
Project qualification
Environmental projects require clear hydrogeologic characterization, compatible chemistry and a monitoring plan capable of separating treatment performance from natural variation.
Use site history, monitoring, geophysics and hydraulic data to define likely flow.
Evaluate substrate, groundwater chemistry and mineralization response.
Set injection locations, volumes, rates and treatment stages around site constraints.
Measure hydraulic response, permeability or containment against the baseline.
Commercial foundation
More than 400 Oil & Gas deployments have built BioSqueeze’s operating discipline around diagnosis, injection, mineral formation and verification. Environmental projects extend that experience into different geology, standards and regulatory settings.
